Course Description

Who should take the course?

“Learning Difficulty” is referred to anything that prevents a student from learning. The Learning Difficulties & Special Needs (LDs & SN) course deals with understanding specific learning difficulties, development in children and strategies to identify hidden traits in students who might have one or more learning difficulties.

This course is for teachers (all subjects and age groups), parents and care givers of children with or without Learning Difficulties. The LD & SN course has been scientifically designed and developed by Ms. Bela Raja for Learn2Teach Institute with a special focus on inclusive learning that enable candidates to understand what are specific learning difficulties, identifying them & strategies to support struggling learners.

Content of the course (Modules covered)

This course will give you a 360-degree preview into children’s development stages and knowledge about specific learning difficulties. The L2T’s Learning Difficulties & Special Needs Certification course is divided into 9 modules that cover the below topics –

1. Understanding Learning Difficulties
2. Development in Children
3. Dyslexia & Dyscalculia
4. Dyspraxia & Dysgraphia
5. ADHD & Executive Dysfunction
6. Helping Dyslexia & Dyscalculia
7. Helping Dyspraxia & Dysgraphia
8. Helping ADHD & Executive Dysfunction

How to navigate the course?

1. Watch the videos (not once but multiple times)
2. Keep your note-pad and pen with you to take notes
3. Research to read additional materials online or in books
4. Once you’ve completed a module, you can take the MCQ test online
5. 75% is the pass criteria for the test
6. Don’t worry if you don’t clear it the first time, you can take the test again
7. Once you pass the test, the current module will get locked (you will not have access to this module video anymore) and you can go to the next module
8. After completing the last module, you one take final test to get your certificate

Many preschool and Montessori teachers begin as teaching aids to gain practical classroom experience before becoming teachers. Once you complete this course, not only will you receive a Learning Difficulties & Special Needs Certification but also an opportunity to be in an internship program at the prestigious Toddlers Nursery or other school partners in your city.
